There is much more to Apple’s technology than meets the eye – Apple just bought Intel’s smartphone-modem business for $1 billion, giving it access to over 17,000 wireless-technology patents which is the key to the next generation Apple 5G phone which will be released in 2020. Apple developed its own wireless Bluetooth chip, which was one of the key technologies behind the company’s AirPods.
