Rupiah Plunges To 5-Year Low

The Indonesian rupiah plunged to its lowest level in almost five years as worries over US tariffs sapped risk sentiment. The rupiah fell 0.7% to 16,559 per dollar on Friday, the lowest since April 2020. The currency is down almost 3% this year in the worst performance among major emerging-Asian peers.
