Foreign investors have sold about $22 billion of US stocks so far in April 2025, following a $41 billion sell-off in March-the largest monthly outflow in at least a year-with high-frequency data showing European investors as the main sellers. Despite these large outflows, overseas investors still hold roughly $16 trillion in US equities, representing about 23% of the total US stock market value. As capital has moved out of US stocks, the euro has strengthened by 9.5% against the US dollar since early March, reflecting shifting global investment trends
