The metric rose 16% over last year’s period to hit €2.6 billion ($3 billion) “driven by rates and credit.” That compared with analyst expectations for €2.4 billion. Deutsche Bank said the result was a record for the second quarter, helping to push profit in the period to €1.9 billion
