‼️ 🧠 Rogo Technologies Inc., an AI startup whose clients include some of the world’s largest investment banks, is doubling down on Asia by making Singapore the hub of its APAC expansion and opening a new office there while also recruiting in Tokyo and Sydney. The platform, which gained traction by automating much of the grunt work traditionally done by junior bankers—such as spreadsheet and slide preparation—is now broadening its scope to tackle additional areas across banking operations. With plans to grow its regional headcount to 150–200 by the end of next year, Rogo is betting that more Asian financial firms are ready to embed AI deeper into their workflows, a move supported by Singapore’s top ranking on the IMF’s AI Preparedness Index and the fact that 64% of its financial institutions are already actively deploying AI across key business functions.
‼️ 🇯🇵 Australian Retirement Trust, Australia’s second-largest pension fund with about A$370 billion ($265 billion) under management, has built its largest yen overweight in years, betting markets are underpricing further Bank of Japan rate hikes. The fund added to the position over the past six months as the currency weakened toward ¥160 per dollar, taking a contrarian bullish stance while many investors remain positioned to sell the yen.
‼️ 🧠 Nvidia unveiled Jetson Orin Nano 2, an entry-level edge-AI computer aimed at robotics, delivery and inspection drones, and vision-AI systems. The module delivers 78 TOPS of AI compute, 8GB of memory and an eight-core Arm CPU, offering twice the inference performance of the prior Jetson Orin Nano Super while using 40% less power at equivalent performance. Built on Nvidia’s open software stack and Jetson agent skills, it supports memory-efficient edge deployment of models including Nvidia Cosmos and Nemotron, Google’s Gemma 4 and Alibaba’s Qwen 3; the module and developer kit are expected in the first half of 2027.
