‼️ 🌍 The Philippines’ top diplomat lodged a “strong protest” before her Chinese counterpart on Wednesday over a recent clash in the disputed South China Sea, while signaling Manila’s intent to pursue dialogue with Beijing. Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro said she protested the China Coast Guard’s “violent actions” at Second Thomas Shoal during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ministerial meeting in Manila.
