Foreign Investors Ditch Treasurys for Record U.S. Equity Bets

‼️ Overseas investors are making a historic pivot from U.S. Treasurys to equities, as foreign ownership of government debt has fallen from more than 50% at its peak to about 30% today. By contrast, foreign holdings of U.S. stocks have reached record highs, with the country attracting a record $600 billion in net equity inflows in the year through March 2026.
