BofA Clients Pile In: 6th-Biggest U.S. Stock Buying Spree Since 2008

‼️ Bank of America clients turned net buyers of U.S. equities for a second straight week, posting the sixth-fastest weekly inflow pace since 2008 with $3.9B into single stocks and $3.1B into equity ETFs, the biggest weekly inflows since mid-July. The buying, driven by institutional and hedge-fund clients, focused on large- and mid-cap names (SPY, SPMD) while private clients remained net sellers for a sixth week and small caps (IWM) were trimmed. Sector flows showed clear rotation: eight of 11 S&P sectors saw inflows, led by technology (XLK) for a second week, with communication services (XLC) also returning to positive flows after five weeks of outflows, even as the S&P 500 edged up just 0.1% over the period.
