Waymo Sets Course for Singapore’s Driverless Future in 2028

‼️ 🚘 🧠 BREAKING: Waymo, Alphabet’s self-driving vehicle unit, will launch autonomous ride-hailing services in Singapore in 2028—its first expansion into South-east Asia and second Asian market after Tokyo’s planned 2027 rollout. Announced at Google’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Pasir Panjang, the service will initially deploy Jaguar I-PACE vehicles, which will arrive in the coming months and be manually driven by trained specialists to map local roads and adapt to Singapore’s driving conditions.
