‼️ 🇩🇰 Novo Nordisk will pay up to $2.6 billion to license an experimental obesity pill from China’s Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals, strengthening its early-stage pipeline as it looks beyond Ozempic and Wegovy. The deal includes a $300 million upfront payment for rights to develop, manufacture and market the drug worldwide excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, while Hengrui could receive additional milestone payments and sales-based royalties.
